 Ok, so I try not provide commentary on my comics, but this is a tricky one, because although I did read Twilight (and thought is was so vapid that I don't think I can go through the other 3 in the "saga"), and I did buy a flowery candy bar while on the rag, and I did actually have that thought about kissing Edward Cullen, it was all in the most sarcastic way possible. That's all I really have to say in my defense. |

SEEDLESS #64  Shamwowie. And a little blurb about my Longshot story that appeared in this month's Strange Tales MAX #3: "Corey Lewis and Dylan McCrae's Longshot story is equally as colorful and energetic as Chua's story but also has an actual plotline to it. The graffiti-style artwork is full of tremendous bursts of excitement in service to a plot that's cleverly reminiscent of the original Longshot series." Whole review here. First time I've been accused of including a PLOTLINE! I like that my story was considered close to vintage Longshot. When I think about it, I guess it does. Longshot pretty much just dashes around and does random stuff. That's mah bag. I'm now deep into work on my next fortunate Marvel gig- drawing CANNONBALL! here's a PANEL:  Stick figures YEAUH! Uhhh.... I was gonna scan a new Sharknife panel, too. But it's like 5:30AM. Fun stuff happening tho. |

Internet is up and running at the new apartment. In the process of deciding where fishtanks will go right now. fun times. The old tenants took the nice washer/dryer, sob. Edit: We ordered a couch. It's large and sort of a mucky brown color, but it's very soft. Now I just need an ottoman. |

Where have I been?
 Dear readers, I am sorry to have neglected my internet duties for so long. This comic is about how I have been suffering from writer's block for the last few months, which finally broke this weekend and I got a good handful of strips drawn, and did some work on longer projects that have been stalled. Whole lotta packing and a tank count.
We're moving on wednesday, so lots of packing today. ... That's all, nothing of note has surfaced, really. Quick tank count though for my own good. smallest to largest. broken 2.5, rimless 5.5, top rim removed 5.5 (moms tank), rimless 10 gallon, 15 gallon long, 20 gallon long, 20 gallon square, shitty 20 high, shitty 37 gallon, new 40 breeder, two shitty 40 longs. I want to get down to 10 tanks or under. I gave away my cracked acrylic 3 gallon. I think I'm going to give away the broken 2.5, I was going to fix it so it would be a 2.5 on its side, but I don't have the will really. I'm going to sell the shitty 20 high (for like 5$). The goldfish are in the 37 until the 40 breeder grows in, then I'm going to sell that one. I'm moving the moss from one of the 40 longs into the 15 long, then tearing the crappy rims off and selling it as a terrarium. I'm also buying a 30 cm cube this week, though. This will leave me with 2 5.5s, 12" cube, 10 gallon, 15 long, 20 long, 20 square, 40 breeder, and a 40 long (farm tank). Finally, I would eventually like to buy a nice, new 40 long as a display tank for tiger barbs, yaaayyyy tiger barbs. Leaving me at, DRUM ROLL, 10 tanks. TA-DA. |

Double update I know I know, but, holy shit you guys you know what's seriously amazing? My hobby is basically paying for itself right now. I made enough money selling UG this fall to break even on a 40 breeder + light, and the equipment for my 5.5 gallon. And I've sold enough manzanita this week to buy a 12" cube, and possibly even cover the metal rack I bought today for my nano's. Hopefully I'll be able to sell the rest of my manzanita to cover the filter for the 40 breeder. There's still a whole bunch of equipment I need to buy for my tanks, but seriously, amazing. I ... I feel so awesome right now. |

Windows 7
:D So I completely busted my old laptop this week, I broke and locked the hinge on the left side this time, so now it's impossible to close without breaking the plastic housing. So I got a new laptop tonight, with windows 7. It's tiny (13" screen) and the resolution is sort of obnoxious (widescreen, ugh) but it's nice. It's so SMALL too, no CD drive, so it's super slim. So far windows 7 has been a dream. The default icon settings are really annoying though, they're all huge, I get the feeling they're trying to make it more old people friendly. It doesn't help that my screen resolution is really tiny so everything feels huge. I managed to find out how to resize the icons on the taskbar though. Hee. ... Can I turn off the spellcheck in google chrome? It doesn't even recognize the word google! the only gripe I have with windows 7 so far is that the default wallpapers suck, REALLY suck. I need to find a new wallpaper stat, but that's back to my obnoxious widescreen resolution. I don't feel like another katamari or okami wallpaper, I should make my own (I found a really nice picture of blue that would be nice, gotta clean it up.) But in the meantime, gotta get rid of these ugly leaves. |
